Your journey begins in Manhattan’s East Village, where you’ll uncover the complex origins of the Mafia in New York City. Learn how the Five Families rose to power, and get an insider’s look at their strict hierarchies, from foot soldiers and capos to the all-powerful Boss. Walk in the footsteps of notorious mobsters like Lucky Luciano, Joe “The Boss” Masseria, John Gotti (the Teflon Don), Vinny “The Chin” Gigante, and “Crazy Joe” Gallo, as you hear the gritty, true stories of their lives and crimes.
As the tour continues, you’ll explore Second Avenue’s Prohibition-era secrets, passing sites most tours overlook. Discover hidden history on the very streets where speakeasies once thrived and deals were struck in the shadows.
From there, you’ll visit Elizabeth Street, lined with Mafia “social clubs” that once housed key figures in The French Connection heroin trade. We’ll also stop at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, and reveal how this historic site became part of The Godfather and Mean Streets cinematic legacy.
